Universal Healthcare is “Socialized Medicine”

The United States has a socialized Police Force, Fire Departments, schools and army, but they are so scared shitless by the word “socialized” they can’t even label things correctly.

I just finished watching the Colbert Report and I was cracking up over Elizabeth Edwards trying to say that she wasn’t for socialized medicine but for universal healthcare; definitely nothing like Canada.

I mean universal healthcare is where the government provides the health insurance and either private enterprise or a mix of public and private organization provide healthcare services; you know, just like Canada.

  1. Did you see the Bunk study stating 2/3 of doctors in America want National Health Care. The doctors who did this study also conducted one in 2002 and found that the majority of doctors did not want national health care, the problem with this is that the 2 question surveys drastically differ in there 2nd question. I found this article, 60% of Physicians Surveyed Oppose Switching to a National Health Care Plan, It’s worth a read.

  2. Hmmm, this seems like a bit of blog spam but I’ll bite because I can relate it back to the original story.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of doctors don’t want National Health Care. The truth is they have been subjected to the same “scare tactics” about the evils of socialized medicine. Such as, they won’t get paid as much, they won’t be able to pick their specialty, they’ll be told where to work, etc.
