Rihanna and her White Sister
So about a week ago I wrote on the interesting phenomena of music’s favourite little starlet’s skin becoming increasing lighter in her music photos.
Then I found this little photo (full credit to JAMD) of Rihanna and her magazine cover alter ego. Her sexed up and whiter alter-ego.
At this point I’m still trying figure out whether the larger overriding factor is just overt racism or the extension of the unrealistic expectations we have of people and especially women in the media. Obviously both are there, but which one was dominating the photoshopper’s hand?
