Cheers for Top Tenz
Many of you will know that I recently wrote a post about the popularity of lists for cheap top ten wines. Well I basically mocked the whole concept but I have to give “Top Tenz” credit for accepting my criticisms and offering me my own chance to write a top ten list on wine.
We love dissenting opinions at TopTenz and if you have a list of top ten wines based on any criteria, such as country, grape or a higher price, we would love to publish it.
While a part of me would love to partake in their offer, I also know that I’m one of those people who knows enough about wine to make me dangerous. I also feel, and part of the reason I mocked it in the first place, that trying to rate a top ten almost purely by one individual’s tastes is an exercise in futility. Maybe it would work if you had a group of tasters, otherwise, not so much.

Well, the offer stands regardless. And we certainly know that hardly any top ten list is definitive; it must be formed by someone’s opinion which is the whole fun of it.
As long as it is an opinion of someone who cares, then we believe it has value. While others may disagree, many will appreciate the time you took to actually give your opinion.
