Gawker Proves They’re Classless
Really? An online celebrity rag classless? Well let’s just say they’ve brought it to a whole new level.
So there has been a little uproar about the photos found on Miley Cyrus’s MySpace and those taken by noted photographer Annie Leibovitz for an upcoming issue for Vanity Fair. Of course Gawker has a strangle-hold the issue, which, by anyone’s standards, has been receiving a ridiculous amount of press.
So how do they decide to cover the issue? By calling Leibovitz and Vanity Fair pedophiles. Classy.
They start of describing Leibovitz as a

See not only is she ‘responsible’ for these photos but she also old and ‘unnatural’, corrupting the innocent, aka young, Cyrus. Can’t trust those creepy lesbians! In a later article the dipshit known as Hamilton Nolan basically call for Leibovitz to be removed from her position of photographer, although Nolan loves to backtrack. Making ridiculous statements and then trying to say that he didn’t actually make them. What he does not step away from however is the idea that Leibovitz is “sexually exploiting” Cyrus. I’m sorry but just because skin is exposed that doesn’t mean it’s exploitive. If you changed nothing else and threw a tank top on her, no one would care.
The entire gist of the article is that Vanity Fair, just like pedophiles, spend their time grooming their young ‘victims’ into uncomfortable situations. You know grooming, like the hair stylist styling hair, the make-up artist putting make-up on, the fashion stylist fixing the wardrobe, and gasp, the photographer taking photos.
Honestly, if someone had managed to scan a loogie and post the picture, it would have been a better article. Trying to turn a photo shoot into an example of pedophilia is a complete intellectual dishonesty.
As for the picture it is adult, but not in the sense of ‘explicit’ but in a way that is sophisticated. Too sophisticated for a fifteen year old girl? Perhaps, but I can guarantee millions of fifteen year olds will be showing more skin on the beach this summer.
